Safeway PHV-160 Mechanical/Hydraulic Machine Vice for sale

This PHV-160 is in good used condition and fully operational. The body shows the usual signs of workshop life paint wear and some surface rust on the castings but the jaw faces, sliding surfaces, and spindle assembly are all in good order. The hydraulic cylinder is intact and the vice operates correctly in both mechanical and hydraulic modes.

Built from ductile iron FCD60 (equivalent to GGG60), flame-hardened to HRC 45. The vice is fitted with a hydraulic spindle system which engages once the handle is tightened, increasing clamping pressure without excessive effort. The semi-sphere segment design prevents movable jaw lift and applies a downward clamping force on the workpiece. Three pin positions in the base allow a wide clamping range without full spindle travel. Hydraulic cylinder is externally mounted for easy maintenance.
