German Spannfuchs Self-Centring Machine Vice for sale.

Very solid, well-made machine vice with swivelling base, stamped Spannfuchs F No. 1244.

This is a self-centring design, where the jaws move inwards and outwards evenly from both sides. This allows the workpiece to stay centred on the machine table, which is particularly useful for repeat setups and accurate positioning.

Spannfuchs is a German trade name used by Letsch & Lebherz (Bitz, Württemberg), a historical toolmaker known for producing clamping and workholding equipment. These are not commonly seen and are typical of older European workshop tooling built to a high standard.
