3 Phase Power Please Note
This machine does not include a plug. When 3 phase machinery is decommissioned from industrial use, it is typically disconnected from a switchboard by an electrician meaning no plug is fitted, and in some cases the cable may also be absent.

As a machinery dealer, we are not electricians and are unable to supply or fit plugs. Buyers will need to arrange connection through a licensed electrician. This is no different to purchasing new 3-phase machinery, which also requires a licensed electrician for installation.

On occasion, a machine will arrive with a plug already fitted in that case, it stays. For the same reason we dont fit plugs, we dont remove them either.

We recommend customers pay us a visit to inspect machinery, where we are happy to test run machinery in our warehouse, that way it gives you peace of mind that the machine will do your job before purchase.

This hydraulic press brake folder is in our warehouse so please feel free to call us for more information & price or pop in to inspect the machine at your convenience.

We are always interested in purchasing metalworking machinery & surplus equipment. Should you be looking at Downsizing, Relocating, Closing Down or having machinery surplus to requirements, we would appreciate the opportunity to assist in any way we can.

We would like to extend a note to all prospective customers. We are happy to provide details of freight companies that transport machines anywhere in Australia or worldwide. However, we want to remind customers that the machines are not insured during transport by either the transport companies or Newmac Equipment. We strongly advise that customers speak with their usual insurance company to take out transport insurance.

Hercus 260?ATM bench lathe for sale, with taper?turning attachment.

Compact Australian-made bench lathe, ready to work

Hercus manufactured lathes in Adelaide since the 1920s, and by the 1960s had become a major supplier to Australian industry, technical schools and TAFE colleges alike. The 260 model was introduced in 1974 as the successor to Hercuss long-running 9-inch lathe, of which around 15,000 were built, and quickly became the companys mainstay for smaller workshop and training applications. A large number of Hercus lathes from this era spent their working life in education settings, where use was typically light and supervised rather than continuous industrial production a big part of why so many surviving examples are still in solid, usable condition today. This 260 ATM comes fitted with a taper-turning attachment, giving you added versatility for taper work straight out of the box.

Specifications:

Swing over bed: 260?mm
Swing over saddle: 159?mm
Distance between centres: 535?mm
Spindle bore: 27?mm
Spindle mount: 1?3/4??×?8?TPI
Spindle speeds: 50??1680?rpm
Motor: ¾?hp / 0.5?kW
Machine voltage: 3?phase, 415?V
Overall dimensions: 1.3?m?×?0.75?m?×?1.35?m high
Approximate weight: 160?kg
Dials: Metric
Comes with:

3?jaw chuck
4?way solid tool post
Thread?chasing dial
Taper?turning attachment

Australian?made and well-regarded, Hercus are known for their reliability and ease of use. They are popular in both industry and by the home hobbyist.

We recommend customers visit our warehouse to inspect the machinery in person. Our team is more than happy to offer to test run the equipment to give you the peace of mind that it will perform to your requirements before making a purchase. That way, you can make an informed decision and feel confident in your investment, knowing youre making a smart choice for your business.

Are you considering selling your machinery? We buy as well as sell machinery. Downsizing? relocating? closing down? or having surplus equipment. We are always on the lookout for quality machinery to buy. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your machinery needs and how we can help you. Your success is our priority.

We want to extend a note to all prospective customers. We are happy to provide details of freight companies that transport machines anywhere in Australia or worldwide. HERCUS 260 ATM BENCH LATHE

Fellows No.7 High Speed Gear Shaper for sale.

Fellows Gear Shaper Co. of Springfield, Vermont were the pioneers of the gear shaping process. The 7-Type was their compact high-production machine, designed specifically for high-speed operation and capable of cutting spur and helical gears with consistent accuracy. These machines had a long production run from the early 1940s through the 1950s across several sub-models, and they built a strong reputation in production gear cutting environments.

The gear shaping process works by synchronising a reciprocating cutter which has teeth the same profile as the desired gear with the slowly rotating workpiece. The cutter strokes up and down while both cutter and workpiece rotate in unison, progressively cutting to full depth before completing one or more finish passes. The result is accurate, repeatable gear cutting suited to both spur and helical forms.

Why buy used?
New gear shaping machines of comparable capacity from manufacturers such as Gleason or Liebherr are priced on application and typically run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars before installation, tooling, and commissioning are factored in. For workshops that need the gear cutting capability without the capital outlay of new equipment, a proven mechanical machine like the Fellows 7-Type represents a practical and cost-effective alternative. The gear shaping process itself has not changed the fundamental mechanics that made these machines the industry standard are the same today as when they were built.

This machine is available for inspection at our Bayswater North warehouse and has been confirmed running under power.

Typical Specifications:

Max pitch diameter (spur & helical external): 178 mm (7?)
Max face width: 38 mm (1.5?)
Max helix angle: 45°
Cutter strokes per minute: 200450 SPM
Power requirements 3 phase 415 volt
Approximate weight: 1,500 kg (3,300 lbs)
Approximate dimensions: 1,150 x 1,040 x 2,000 mm H (39? x 35? x 66? H)

Includes:
Assortment of change gears, cams and operator manuals
Some cutter tooling is available at an extra cost.

SPILL CREW 250L

We have a Richard Stuhlmann & Co 250S Keyseating Machine for sale.

The Stühlmann 250-S is a German-made keyseating machine, built in 1962 by Richard Stühlmann & Co. of Köln-Braunsfeld. Known for their robust construction and precision engineering, Stühlmann machines are a fine example of mid-20th century German toolmaking.

This machine is designed for cutting internal keyways in gears, pulleys, couplings, and other components. Unlike broaching, which requires long and costly broaches, a keyseater allows you to cut a range of keyway sizes using simple tool bits, making it ideal for one-off jobs, repair work, and small batch production.

Features:

Model: 250-S
Stroke 250mm
Year of manufacture: 1962
German-built solid cast iron construction for durability and accuracy
Keyseating capacity suitable for medium-sized components
Cost-effective keyway production compared to broaching methods

Applications:
Internal keyways in pulleys, gears, and couplings
Repair workshops and toolrooms
Suitable for general engineering and maintenance shops
Comes with the tooling and accessories that can be seen in the photos

The Stühlmann 250-S remains a practical and reliable machine for workshops needing to cut accurate keyways without the expense of broach use.
